Manufactured from heavy steel plate formed into a cylinder with a single longitudinal weld. The predominant choice for large-diameter, high-pressure trunk pipelines.

Manufactured by spirally winding hot-rolled coil and welding the seam with submerged arc process. Economical for large-diameter, lower-pressure applications and water pipelines.

5. Sour Service Line Pipe

API 5L Annex H Sour Service Line Pipe

Specially manufactured and tested line pipe for wet H2S (sour) environments. Includes HIC and SSC testing per NACE standards for upstream sour gas and crude pipelines.

6. HFW (High-Frequency Welded) Line Pipe

API 5L HFW Line Pipe

A refined form of ERW pipe using high-frequency induction welding. Produces a narrower, more consistent heat-affected zone (HAZ) than traditional ERW. Increasingly preferred for upstream gathering lines.
