- Fixed Bean (Positive Choke): Replaceable orifice bean. Simple and robust. For steady flow conditions
- Adjustable / Needle & Seat Choke: Externally adjustable flow orifice. Fine flow control
- Cage-Guided Choke: Multi-stage pressure reduction through a cage with drilled holes. Reduced noise and erosion
- Plug & Cage Choke: Combined plug and multi-port cage for severe service
Trim Materials: Stellite, tungsten carbide, ceramic (for erosion resistance)
Typical Standards: API 6A
Sizes: Typically 1″ to 6″
Pressure Ratings: 2,000 to 20,000 psi (API 6A ratings)
